Joel’s Role: Responsible for ensuring that our products and services consistently meet or exceed established quality standards. I develop and implement advanced quality planning and control procedures, conduct inspections, analyze data, and collaborate with teams to identify and resolve recurring quality issues. The goal is to maintain high-quality output, provide effective solutions, and exceed customer expectations.

Experience: I have over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, production, process engineering, and quality engineering, working across the aerospace, semiconductor, and automotive industries. I earned a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering and management, a five-year program that integrates mechanical, electronic, and industrial engineering with computer science for automation and robotics. One of my proudest academic achievements was receiving the Gold Thesis Award for my work on an automated guided vehicle floor polisher.

Achieving Excellence: My passion for problem-solving and continuous learning started early. In grade six, I taught myself basic programming and completed a course in basic soldering and electronics. Since then, I have remained curious, always looking for opportunities to learn, troubleshoot, and improve processes. Throughout my career, I have expanded my expertise by studying the Toyota Production System, Lean, Six Sigma, and leadership development. I believe in taking initiative, being assertive and persistent, collaborating with diverse teams, and seeking clarity to drive high-achievement goals.

Likes: Outside of work, I enjoy basketball, tennis, billiards, table tennis, swimming, DIY home improvement projects, learning new skills or software, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
